FREE women from abortion…

The preamble of my landmark speech, “The Feminist Case Against Abortion,” to a live audience starts with, “Before I begin, I want to say that if someone here has suffered an abortion, we are not here to judge or condemn you. Our goal is not to criminalize women. We want to FREE women from abortion through resources and support.”

I close my speech by recalling Mattie Brinkerhoff, who wrote in 1869, “When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we may safely conclude that there is something wrong in society — so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is an evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged.”

I go on to say, “Feminism was born of abolition. All people are equal. All choices are not. We envision a better day, a day when womanhood is celebrated, mothers are supported, fatherhood is honored, and every child is cherished.”

Because women — and babies — deserve better,
