For more than two decades, FFL’s telecommuting internships have helped prepare the newest generation of women and men to advocate for the most vulnerable, both on and off campus. And with the (hopefully temporary) new normal of most of us working and learning from home, FFL’s revolutionary remote program is more relevant than ever!
We are proud to announce a record nine interns have been accepted into Feminists for Life’s summer internship program!
“Nothing prepared me more for working from home during this pandemic than my time interning with FFL,” said three-time intern Maddie Davin, who brought FFL President Serrin Foster to her alma mater, Wheeling Jesuit University, in 2017. “Do this, people. For the women. For the babies. And yourself, honestly.”
The last time Serrin spoke in Seneca Falls was on the 150th anniversary of the famed women’s rights convention. Now, she returns for the historic 2020 Centennial Celebration. Serrin will present the keynote address at “Inspiring Women: Celebrating Their Legacy,” hosted by Feminists Choosing Life of New York.
In addition, Serrin will be kicking off Respect Life Month this October by moderating our 25th Annual Pregnancy Resource ForumSM at Georgetown University, in Washington D.C.
Our calendar is already filling up: Serrin will present “The Feminist Case Against Abortion” at the University of Mary Washington, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, next January.
You also likely heard by now that this year’s Pro-Life Women’s Conference unfortunately had to be cancelled, out of concern for public health (because being pro-life means all of your lives, too).
The good news is, FFL Speaker Cynthia J. Wood, J.D., will be delivering her presentation, “Sexual Harassment: A Pro-Life Issue and a Question of Worth,” as a keynote address at the June 2021 conference in Memphis, Tennessee!
