Controversy at St. Norbert…

As the collegiate school year draws to a close, I want to say thank you for another fantastic year.  You likely know my last event was at St. Norbert College, WI. I was invited to speak a week after Gloria Steinem addressed students.

It caused quite an uproar:

I am so impressed by the leadership of the students in the Knights for Life, FFL supporters who were so gracious during my visit, and the reception by the pro-life community–just as I have been from those at Yale, Seattle University, University of Chicago, Loyola-Chicago, University of Mary Washington, Georgetown University, George Mason University, Clarion University, Fairfield University, and the Washington State Cornerstone Conference.

Our Vice-President Sally Winn and our other staff met with students from all across the country at various student conferences.  Sally also spoke at Gonzaga University, the University of Wisconsin at Madison and also Platteville.  And once again the staff hosted a group from Notre Dame University visiting the Washington, D.C. area.

Our goal, of course, is to speak to people who are on both sides of a contentious debate. We did just that–as reported by the Compass, (Feminists for Life leader is keynote speaker at St. Norbert College event.)

You should know that the community–including the president of St. Norbert College, who heard my entire lecture–was receptive to our woman-centered solutions first developed by Feminists for Life. (My regret is that the event sold out beforehand and that more could not have attended due to the size of the hall.)

With your support, we look forward to our next steps at St. Norbert’s–and all of the colleges and universities that we served in 2014-15.

Because women deserve better,

Serrin M. Foster, FFL President
