Pregnancy Care Services at RiskJuly 28, 2011 Now is not the time to cut resources and support for pregnant women, mothers, and young children. Pregnancy care centers count on lifesaving programs like Medicaid, WIC, SNAP, and Pell grants to offer pregnant women and struggling parents hope and tangible support. These are also resources we described in "Raising Kids on a Shoestring" (now being featured as an e-series). They may not be available to those who serve women at risk of abortion and parents of poor children if Congress and the President make deep cuts to these vital programs. We're calling on Feminist for Life members, supporters, and activists to mobilize at this important moment. Let Congress and the White House know that while they make strategic cuts to the budget, life-affirming that we have worked so long for resources must be preserved. Don't put pregnancy centers--and mothers and babies they serve--at risk. Contact your Representative now. Because women deserve better,
