Dear Feminist for Life: I want to make 2003 the year we turn the tide for women and children. There is every indication we are witnessing that shift now. Since Feminists for Life began our College Outreach Program:
Don't think for a minute that abortion advocates aren't alarmed by our progress. They are. The "big four" - Planned Parenthood, NARAL, NOW, and Feminist Majority - are spending millions of dollars on ads, websites, college programs and more. They're even teaming up to organize a march in Washington, D.C., for April of next year. They say "the largest pro-choice majority in history will march on Washington." They say this effort is to "save women's lives." Abortion advocates will say and do whatever they can to combat this trend toward questioning abortion - so they can protect their core business. We must ensure that those who start out pro-life don't end up supporting abortion, or having an abortion, because they enter a hostile environment unsupported - an environment such as a college campus. Remember, in 1996 Gallup documented the "revolutionary" impact college had on women. While only 37% of high school graduates identified themselves as pro-choice, by the time they ended their sophomore year 56% were pro-choice. Among women graduates, fully 73% supported abortion. Remember, too, that the root causes that drive most women to abortion are the lack of practical and emotional support. It is up to you and me to ensure that the progress FFL is making is not reversed. Let me brief you on how we have prepared for this school year.
By the time we finish this fall, we will have reached campuses with 4 million students in two years with our pro-woman, pro-life ads - the biggest effort of its kind! Most of these ads will be focused in the states with the highest support for abortion. We have so many requests for speakers we are already booking next year! After seeing the Crisis magazine article, "Going Against the Grain: A Day in the Life of Serrin Foster," one student wrote, "It gave me goose bumps," and pleaded for us to come to his campus. I want you to see for yourself what FFL's progress means through the stories of student activists who are implementing our programs on college campuses. Click here for two letters Crisis recently received. Read for yourself how your investment pays off. We are so proud of our student leaders! Help write the next story of progress and transformation. Make your secure online donation to FFL now so that we can support emerging student leaders, so that we can help more students question abortionsm and refuse to choose® - because women deserve better.® Who can argue with that? For women, for life, P.S. While abortion
advocates devote millions of dollars to their "sky is falling"
ads, letters, and marches telling women that their "rights"
are eroding, FFL is here expanding resources to support nonviolent choices
- to prevent more wrongs against women and children. We
need your support. Make
your donation today. Thank you! |
