One in five women attending college are sexually assaulted. A new bipartisan effort in the US Senate aims to make campuses safer for women. Feminists for Life was the only pro-life organization in the women's coalition that worked to pass the original Violence Against Women Act. Many women's organizations on campus hold "Take back the night" events during April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and FFL speakers have encouraged pro-life students to join this effort. Feminists for Life President Serrin M. Foster is encouraged by this bipartisan effort and hopes that "we can go a step further and take back the campus. Women shouldn't fear for their safety. Instead, students should be focused on completing their education." Learn more about the Campus Accountability and Safety Act.
